Announcing....

I know, it's been forever. It's been ages!! Honestly, it's been so long I wonder if you're still out there. Are you? Are you there?

Well, on the off chance you are I want to give you a bit of news and invite you to a party. Yes, a party. With snacks and drinks and good times and good people. A party!

So here's the scoop.... I finally left the job at the hotel to pursue my plans of launching my own pastry company. I spent months hemming and hawwing, testing new ideas, designing packaging, having loads of photos taken, working with uber-duper talented friends and blah blah blah... .I started a pastry company!!

The brief company bio basically states that I make (what I think are) crazy delicious pastries which I package and sell at spots all around Austin. I use local and organic ingredients for treats that are perfect for grabbing on the go or taking to share with friends.

Right now I have five cookies to choose from.

There's the well-loved Magic Bar

The saucy and spicy Meringue Épice

The elegant favorite, the Salted Pecan Praline Polvorones

The surprising Raspberry Chipotle Chocolate Rugelach

And the powerhouse, my pride and joy, the Brown Butter Shortbread

Now hopefully by now your stomach is grumbling and you're anxious for the info about the launch party, so here's the part where I share that.

The party is this Saturday, June 12th, from Noon - 4PM at Bows + Arrows located at 215 S. Lamar Blvd. in beautiful, blazingly hot Austin, Texas. There will be complimentary drinks to wash down all of that complimentary pastry that you'll be tasting and there will be amazing shopping to boot.

This party is open to all who wish to attend so please come out, bring your friends and pass on the news!

Not in Austin? Don't be sad, I do have an Etsy site.

PS - In case you're wondering, those gorgeous photos were taken by Cory Ryan and Jody Horton.

I started the site back in 2006 as an open forum of sorts. A place where people could bitch and moan about whatever network/announcer they disagreed with/couldn't stand, as well as a hub of information on hirings/firings, schedules, etc. For months, I tried to spot post, without much avail, and even hired other writers for the site. Nothing worked out until Bloguin stepped in and "righted the ship". They have lined up some great writers, overhauled the layout of the site (beautifully I may add) and are even keeping little ole' me around to post every so often.
